Diabetologists are specialists in treating diabetes and other disorders of glucose metabolism. Their task is not only to diagnose and treat diabetes, but also to educate patients in managing their health.
Diabetologists help patients understand the importance of monitoring blood sugar levels, following a proper diet, regular physical activity and using medication or insulin.
